2020/2021 Graduates

We are delighted to have the opportunity to honor the classes of 2020 & 2021 at in person ceremonies. We have waited a long time to celebrate with you and your guests and are looking forward to seeing you in May!

Student Line Up

Grad Plaza | Walk to the left once inside the check-in area. Staff will be on hand to direct you and your guests.

Ceremony Location

Louis Armstrong Stadium in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center

Ceremony Timing

There will be one or two ceremonies based on graduate registration. We will fill the afternoon ceremony first. If/when we move past the threshold for one ceremony we will add a morning ceremony.

• Guests are required to have a ticket. 
• Graduates may register for up to 8 guest tickets.
• Guests cannot print tickets for scanning at the stadium. They must be scanned on a smartphone.

Afternoon Ceremony - Convocation 2020-2021 

(all departments)

• 2:45 p.m.: Arrive at Louis Armstrong Stadium wearing academic attire.
  • Pick up name card
  • Assemble with department and line up. Grads will not line up alphabetically or by program so plan to arrive with your friends.
• 3:30 p.m.: The student procession will move to the stadium.
• 3:45 p.m.: Process to student seating.
• 4:00 p.m.: Program begins.

During the program, each masters grad will walk across the stage as their name is read and doctoral grads will be hooded on stage as their names are read. A professional photographer will capture all these moments.

Masters students must purchase attire from the bookstore in-person or online.
