Schedule

• 5:30 p.m. Graduates arrive at United Palace Theater wearing academic attire.
• Pick up name card
• 6:00 p.m. Guests arrive at United Palace Theater
• Graduates assemble with their department and line up. Grads will not line up alphabetically or by program so plan to arrive with your friends.
• 6:45 p.m.: Graduate procession begins
• 7:00 p.m.: Process to graduate seating
• 7:00/15 p.m.: Program begins
• 9:00/15 p.m.: Ceremony concludes

During the program, each grad will walk across the stage as their name is read. A professional photographer will capture all these moments.

The ceremony will be livestreamed.

• Graduates will be able to register for up to five (5) guest tickets. 
• Graduates do not need a ticket. 
• Ticket registration begins on Wednesday, April 5th and concludes on Friday, April 21st.
• If there are tickets remaining at the end of the initial ticket registration period, there will be a  lottery by ceremony. 
• Tickets are electronic and will be sent via email immediately following ticket registration to the graduate. 
• Guests can print tickets for scanning at the venue, or they can be scanned on a smartphone.
• Children sitting on a lap do not require a ticket. 
• Children are not permitted to sit with graduates; they may only sit in the guest seating areas.

TC's Graduation partner, Grad Images will be on campus in Milbank Chapel taking professional portraits for purchase. Please reserve a portrait sitting on the preferred date.

Academic attire will be provided.

Academic Attire

All students who plan to participate in Convocation must wear academic attire.

• Masters grads buy academic attire from the CU Bookstore and wear a CU blue Masters robe and mortarboard. 
• Doctoral grads rent or buy academic attire from the CU Bookstore and wear a Doctoral robe, hood and black velvet tam.
